I am in the process of beginning a regional (NY/NJ)magazine for African-American teens (between the ages of 13-17) circulation list on 5000 to begin. I am having a difficult time finding statistics on this age group and their buying habits. Any suggestions?

You can try the American Demographics site at www.demographics.com. There are also www.ethnicmajority.com and www.ethnicprintmedia.com/African. An internet search for "African American Demographics" should give you a lot more leads.
